We are now into the second week of January and rain is the feature which has predominated thus far this year. Rain and more rain. Wet and more wet! Wet and worse! Warm and wet! I must say I’d much rather have cold and ice. At least it would be a change. We seem to have had rain for more than a whole year and frankly, we are rained off with it!!! They forecast a bit of sunshine tomorrow. My sunglasses are waiting on the table having revealed themselves from the back of a shelf earlier today, so with luck I might just have to put them on for a millisecond as the flicker of sun breaks through the gloom and lights up our horizons! Ach but it’s getting lighter, the days are beginning to lengthen and soon we’ll be feeling springlike! I wish!!
Anyway, less of the doom and gloom. The Coalition is doing as it says on the tin, covering themselves with varnish which will not wash off and when dry invites the ‘posh’ boys of number ten to admire themselves from within an impenetrable shell! They shell remain!!! They shell not be moved!!! No, we are the ones who shell out time and time again as the bankers and the politicians get on with their risky business and keep their jobs! Voices which should be heard decrying the mighty profiteering of energy giants clam up and scuttle back, under the sand, to await their share of the catch. But what can we do? Our pockets have become nets with holes, where only the plastic cards of credit cannot be lost. Our quotas have been eroded so much that we have to work on into the Zimmer of our days and even then might not be in the right place as the shifting sands of pension reform become a mirage.
Yes the coalition is doing a marvellous job. Our future is secure in their hands. Aye right!!!!!!!
