Fabulous day yesterday. The sun shone, we visited the garden centre, bought plants and came home to lunch in the sun then begin this year’s planting. While the sun was at its hottest, we shampooed our carpets, and left them to dry as we swung on the deck. Later in the afternoon we weeded, re-potted, re-arranged and then stopped for tea. A busy day but a very worthwhile one, especially as Maggie arrived with power tool in hand to tighten our aerial, and catch up with news. A fitting end to an excellent day!

Today, it’s cooler, so the plants can rest, and any further tweaking can wait.

Joan will be glued to the council election results and I’ll take time to catch up with some projects.

A quiet day awaits, before the week-enders arrive to party over the holiday.
