I love my iPad. The apps being developed for it are remarkable, and given their reasonable cost, are a great addition to an excellent tool for all sorts of creativity.

This week I’ve found the ultimate blogging tool in ‘Blogsy’. Not only is it the coolest app to use, but it allows easy posting, editing and uploading right from my pad, which is what I wanted. I can see that my MacBook will become a bit redundant in the future!

I’ve also been exploring creative apps which allow working with images and even working from scratch on art projects. What a discovery, especially when it allows such hands-on control! I wonder if my paints and brushes will remain under the bed as I explore this new digital expression of art? Probably not, since the whole pleasure of working on paper and canvas is to be outside surrounded by the beauty of creation, taking time to express what the eye sees and the soul feels. Of course I can take my iPad outside and work, but seeing the screen might pose problems for working. We will see! I’ve no doubt my iPad will accompany my paints brushes and paper, even if it’s just to record the final painting in its original creative setting.
