After years of searching, we have tracked down the last will and testament of Mary Aitken , my great great aunt who lived most of her life in Montreal in Canada.
Our grateful thanks go to Pennie Redmile who had the documents scanned and sent to us by e-mail.
My mum’s face was a study as I gave her Mary’s husband James Cowan’s will and after half an hour brought out the other documents which she didn’t know that I had. The smile was a delight to see!!!
She was even more pleased when I let her read the documents on my iPad via iBook. She’ll have the same access when she goes home and downloads her mail, for as a PDF the documents are easily forwarded.
Oh the wonders of the internet!!!!!

Mum’s on her way home to Largs now and I’m catching up with Facebook and twitter on my iPad and the benefits of coffee and wi-fi in my favourite Gourock cafe.
An excellent day- one to remember!!
