Despite temperatures well below zero, we wrapped up and headed for the park this morning. Tom and Emma had ten minutes playing on he kids’ climbing frame, then we headed home for hot chocolate and marshmallows. We sang all the way there and all the way home again. I do need to consult the old grey cells and come up with a few more, although constant repetition means that even Tom is managing to pick up the lyrics.
Back home it was Emma time- time to knit a cape for a dolly and decorate it with bells and rings and buttons.
The older girls were out with dad at the cinema, so now that they’re home, we’re with them for an afternoon of their choice of film until five when grandma has to watch Scotland v England at rugby. I’ll take Dougal out for a walk then, since I can’t stand the pain!!!
Quiet night planned, before going to a birthday party tomorrow. It’s all go!!!
