Greyness pervades the atmosphere as rain lashes , together with western winds.
Four paws circle to find just the right space before lying down- at peace- he hopes!
With laptops on knees we view what’s happening in the world and remember the last two weeks away…….
A family home where we shared its first Christmas..
An engaging quartet of grandchildren- each and every one of them a character…
Tom with his easy going manner and happy smile was loved most by Dougal who followed his every move to collect offerings by the dozen……
Emma with her sparkling eyes mesmerised by the lights, watching behind the curtains for a sign of Santa’s reindeer coming to eat the food she had left for them…..
Simone with her own style and creative abilities who learned her first three guitar chords in as many minutes and played for everyone on Christmas day- she also knitted half is a jumper and learned to crochet in less than a week…..,,
Nicole who adores dancing and has exceptional talent, was thrilled to be surrounded by her family for the BEST CHRISTMAS ever!!! Never more content than curled up close to her grandma watching tv and drinking hot chocolate made for her by her dad.
Sammy and Kev, happy to be together sharing the early mornings and nights with wee ones who don’t sleep to order. Building a home where they plan to stay and be around when the kids fly the nest and return for future Christmases with their young.
Grandma Joan who was in her element, cooking and organising with her assistant chef on hand. Despite the on-coming cold she changed Tom’s nappy, wiped away Emma’s tears, cooked with Simone and Nicole, and listened to their troubles as only a grannies can- raising giggles as she told her son- their dad- to get out when they were in the middle of a tearful heart- to- heart.
Myself, thrilled to be once again among youngsters singing laughing and teaching. A joyful Christmas spent with children in their home will warm our hearts as winter passes through and we plan to be with them all again in the summer to explore Yorkshire!!
