Life at family pace

Having spent so much of the last few months doing our own thing- it is a bit of a shock to the old system when we become part of eight instead of two! Not that we mind- quite the opposite! We certainly have plenty to occupy our time from shopping to eating to talking to knitting to watching TV. Not entirely different from our usual occupations- just MORE!
Great fun!!!!

Kev and Sammy’s new house is fantastic. Plenty of space for a growing family and visitors. The table is big enough for all eight of us to sit at and accommodate the wandering Dougal underneath.

Yesterday we headed for town by bus. The centre of Hull is a collection of shopping areas- a MUST to explore this trip and on subsequent ones.
We found MandS and Primark and despite the crowds, managed to wander for two or three hours- but then we are seasoned shoppers and find a great deal of pleasure in discovering new retail outlets!
Home by bus after an excellent lunch, carrying bags of purchases. We’ll return later in the coming week to do the area greater justice!

Quiet day today- before heading into town for an evening candlelit carol service in the oldest church in the town.

Tomorrow we’ll be in church again to see Simone perform in her school nativity. Hope the ceiling remains intact!
